I applied to Bu for painting and I am trying to remember why I talked myself out of Mass art or SMFA... I should have applied there, I feel so lame.

Maybe they have moved you into that program. I am on glass of wine #2...so I may be feeling a bit imaginative.

Mt. Royal is more interdisciplinary and is a larger program. They embrace mixed media, video, collage, etc. Hoffberger is specifically for painting and only has 8 slots a year. At Hoffberger you work specifically with the directer, Joan Waltemath who is nothing short of amazing. The two schools represent a shift in the academic approach towards painting in the art world.

That is so exciting! I wonder if Low Res and Hoffberger are done with their reviews...

I feel your pain. I am waiting for Low residency and Hoffberger

All my paintings are huge as well. I planned on taking them off the stretchers and rolling them up if necessary, then pinning them up. If I were you I would try to consider that as a cheaper option then shipping on stretchers. I was looking through the posts from last year and I saw that Tyler conducted skype interviews. I can't find any in person interviews.

My stomach is in knots. The only response I have so far is one rejection. Did you get everything sorted out for your Yale interview?

I am dreaming about MICA and RISD.. I have lost 7 pounds in the last two weeks. No appetite and lots of mowing down stress with swim laps.

Oh how nerve rattling! I tried to paint today, but I am to nervous. Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. Is anyones parents taking the rejection worse than you? My mom has posted inspirational folk songs on my fbook wall. Ugh..

I totally agree but was confused because you were saying it before finding out...By the way, I have spent the whole day freaking out and reading Death of the Author....I feel so dramatic.
