Two funded Ph.D. positions are open in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Louisville staring from Fall 2021. I asked the status in email and got following reply: -------- Thank you for your continued interest in UCLA. I am sorry but not all admission decisions have been finalized. The CS faculty makes admission decisions in two steps. First, from the over 430 PhD applications, a group of admissible applicants is identified. Then the admissions committee determines who among the admissible applicants can be funded by CS departmental funds. This group makes up most of the applicants who already have been offered admission. However, there also are a few PhD applicants who may be supported directly by a faculty member through research grant funds. We anticipate that several of these offers will be made soon. We are fortunate to have an outstanding group of applicants, including you. We have sent out some admission decisions and will continue to do so over the next few weeks. -------- In my case, I communicated to POI and it seems that she admitted some other student already.
