  1. I don't mind the follow-up at all! I'm finishing up a Master of Planning and heading into a PhD in Geography. So I'd say it's a human geography / regional planning crossover
  2. I'll be researching left-behind places (cities experiencing decline as a result of globalization) in the Canadian context, including where these places are located, who is located in these places, and how policy can mitigate socio-economic challenges being felt in these places!
  3. Ah man, it'd be great to have the results tonight. Been getting lots of rejections lately so I need some good news 😅
  4. Yes! The results will be posted on the SSHRC Extranet for Applicants. When the results are ready, we'll be receiving an email with a link to set up our account. Our accounts haven't been created yet (just tried the Forgot Password option on the website just in case haha), so it's just a waiting game at this point.
  5. That's a really good point! From what I can tell, PSAC members working for SSHRC have a collective agreement directly with SSHRC, so I doubt they're on strike. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the strike is indirectly causing delays with award notification.
  6. Same here. Been checking my email like crazy hoping for an update. As mentioned earlier in the thread, in previous years, they've sent out an email to inform us that the results would be available in a week's time. But we haven't received that email, and a week's time puts us out to April 30th already... So either they've changed the length of the time between emails, they've scrapped that first email entirely, or we might be waiting until May (I read somewhere that they inform students of the results in April 90% of the time). But I'm probably overthinking this, as I'm sure many of us are!
