I accepted SIU-Carbondale's offer of admission! They have a big autism center where you can choose to do your first clinicals, so I'm really excited about that One thing that's ticked me off though-- has anyone NOT heard back from any of the schools they applied to? I haven't heard anything from WIU (Western Illinois). I paid the application fee and spent time and effort on their application, and they haven't told me ANYTHING. Other people on the results board seem to be saying the same thing-- I don't think they've made decisions for anyone yet. Seriously, it's past April 15th and they don't tell anyone if they got in (or let us know if there would be a delay), that's just discourteous. Not to mention pretty dumb-- if they admit people in late April-May, most of their students will be people rejected from or waitlisted at every school they applied to. Not likely at all to work, but I'd really like to demand a refund for my $30 application fee, and the 4 hours of my life I wasted on their application back..

Ahh I wish I could make my decision already like everybody else! I got into NIU, which is probably my 2nd choice-- no word on funding yet. My top choice gave me a waitlist notification. And I STILL am waiting to hear back from 2 other schools!! I went through the results history on this site, and it appears that SIUC and WIU both sent out their notifications after April 15th...how does that work out?

I got a rejection from ISU and waitlisted at EIU (my top choice) yesterday :-/ Apparently NIU has been sending out a lot of notifications (mostly waitlist, from what it looks like in the results section). Does anyone know if they've been sending out admits/rejections yet? Good luck to everyone!

To anyone who has applied to Illinois State University, apparently they've been releasing results today (via website)! All the ones I've seen in the results section here have been rejections so far, so maybe I should be relieved that I don't see anything on my page yet???

There's a Patty in the SLP program at UIUC, but we don't have an "Institute of Health Professions" to my knowledge!

Has anybody heard back from UIUC or EIU/NIU/SIUE/SIUC/WIU (in other words, all affordable Illinois schools)? A couple of my classmates got acceptance emails from U of I, but I don't know if those were just their favorite applicants notified first or if they've been emailing out rejections as well. I'm so jealous of everyone who has gotten responses, I haven't heard from any of my schools yet!

Is anyone else applying to Illinois schools? I applied to all in-state (UIUC, Eastern, Northern, Western, SIU-Carbondale, SIU-Edwardsville and Illinois State), and haven't heard a word from any of them yet! I heard somewhere that none of the Illinois programs send out notifications until around spring break, does anyone know if this is true? It's so stressful hearing all my classmates get into out-of-state schools while I just sit here and wait, gah! Good luck to everyone!
