I haven’t heard anything from GD either, so I’m sure each department is just on their own timeline

Did anyone interview for RISD gd this week? Or has done so in the past? If so, what was the interview like? I have mine coming up and they said it was casual, but curious what questions they asked, etc. to be prepared!

Yeah I applied a few days before the deadline I think. And I don’t think she ever reached out, I don’t think she was ever seriously expecting to get in so she wasn’t too concerned. But yeah maybe just a tech error?

this is my first time applying but someone I know applied last year and they never heard anything back ?? Never received the rejection in the portal like I did, and they were applying for same area

I applied for graphic design btw so it might just be for that area, but I got an email there was an update to my applicant portal and checked the update and it was the rejection letter

No word from VCU for graphic design either. Idk if you saw they extended the deadline for VCU to feb 1st so maybe that might delay the interview invites?

Yes, I applied to both and some other schools. Just heard back from RISD, nothing from Yale yet

has anyone heard anything from Stamps yet?

I haven't seen much from designers on the forum re: getting interviews, but it seems like lots of other areas are already doing interviews.

I just got the interview email from RISD for the 2 year graphic design program! My first response back from schools, I'm super pumped. What'd they say over the phone? Do the 3 years go through the same interview process?

Hey posted here a few months ago, but wanted to say that I’m applying to graphic design programs in case anyone else wants to compare admission responses. I’ve got 3 apps in and just have to edit some of the writing for 2 more due on the 15th. my schools are all GD MFAs: RISD Yale Stamps - U of Mich (this one’s not gd, but interdisciplinary studio) Rutgers VCU

Hi! Currently a senior finishing up my BFA in graphic design and going to be applying for graphic design MFA programs this winter. I'm super nervous! I'd love to get into Yale or VCU. Just signed up for the in-person VCU visit, for all the online RISD sessions, and looks like Yale is online only? Also looking at RISD, CCA, Northwestern, and Rutgers. Is the Rutgers design program good? And does anyone know how hard it is to get into VCU or RISD?
