  1. Are you specifically looking into only math/stats PhDs? What is your long-term goal? There are other doctorates/masters in other departments at top institutions that value a quant profile, which would still be quant-heavy, and you would indeed have a great chance of getting in.
  2. I also received a rejection for the Harvard DrPH! Same boat sigh
  3. I felt the same way. I have also started distracting myself with spa and self-care activities. I also started to reframe my thinking. As much as I am dying to get into a program, I think there can be other positives to focus on when you take a step back. A PhD or DrPH does not directly guarantee success post-grad. There are still more hoops to jump through. I'm not saying that it doesn't matter; I'm just saying when we demystify reality, it may be easier to let go of the power it has and anxiety. Wishing everyone luck!
  4. I think they don’t have a true set process. the DrPH specifically has been changed a lot since its inception. They also like having a diverse cohort of background interest. People reviewing may have different levels of availability and it honestly comes down to the personality type of the person who reviews. They advocate and that varies. My advisor at Columbia used to sit on admissions at times for Epi said it was brutal, they divide the top 10 to each person and they have to bring that down to one and then advocate for their chosen person and sometimes they are voted out. I think we can try to predict their process but might not be worth our energy. I agree It would be best if they just sent pure rejections first.
  5. No worries hah! This should take you there! https://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/
  6. Seems like it was an international student accepted so far on the results page! Congrats to all who are accepted!! I wish they would send out everything at the same time! Still waiting! Good luck to everyone!!
  7. Thanks, good idea. I will try that! The wait is killing me lol
  8. I just checked the portal and have the same glitch in the letterbox, so odd.
  9. Totally! I hate being in limbo!! From past forums it seems like Feb 15th was a date people received decisions! I am hoping we find out soon!!
  10. Interesting! They must have received feedback on that. It seemed so premature to post that when they say most decisions are sent mid Feb -mid March.
  11. I noticed that! I found it odd on the Instagram they were congratulating students who were accepted. I was told that the DrPH decision would come out early since the program starts in summer!
  12. Lol I heard this verbally during a one on one with admissions before applying! It’s quite funny how many responses they have. Two students that were accepted last year told me they had two round of interviews so that admissions could see beyond their written application. I’ve finally decided not to stress about the outcomes. What is meant to be will be.
  13. I am confused by this, too; either their process is ambiguous, or they aren't interested in being transparent about the review process. For their DrPH, I have heard different responses from current students; admissions mentioned this: "Aside from the Kira interview, no interview is necessary for the DrPH program. The Kira interview is evaluated as part of the holistic application review and will be considered alongside all other submitted materials. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out."
