  1. Thank you for the kind words! I wish you the best moving forward in your public health journey! A question for the remaining folks in the thread: has anyone heard from BU after being placed on their waitlist?
  2. I’m sorry to hear that it’s definitely an achievement to be on the waitlist, even though it wasn’t the outcome you wanted. I’m still on a waitlist and uncertain about when I’ll hear back/losing hope as days go by.
  3. Hey! I was putting a general question out there for folks that might be on any waitlist to get a feel for how people were doing.
  4. Anyone patiently waiting and hoping they will be admitted off the waitlist beginning today? 🙃
  5. Thank you so much for this thoughtful response! I was leaning in this direction as well, so I think this is how I will move forward. Thank you so much for this! Additionally, I saw your post about the Bloomberg fellowship. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you on the waitlist, but I truly hope you have an amazing experience at UNMC!!
  6. Hi all! As we near the end of this application cycle, I’m nervously thinking what’s the best thing to do in this situation… and hoping to get some advice from you all. I was accepted for a great DrPH program (program A) and waitlisted at my top choice (program B). I was asked to accept Program A by 4/1 and that I would hear from Program B about waitlist status by mid-April. I’m not sure what to do. I would be happy to accept at Program A, but I’m worried about the remote possibility of accepting Program A and being admitted off the waitlist at Program B and possibly having to rescind my original acceptance. A good problem to have, I guess. Any thoughts or similar experiences would be much appreciated!!
  7. Of course! Mid-January and there was no notice until last week.
  8. Hi! I just received an acceptance from UIC on Friday mid afternoon. I don’t know if they are all out, but I know they plan to continue meeting up to April to make these admissions decisions (per an email I had with them). Best of luck to you!
  9. Hi! Good to know there are others in the same boat. Do we know if they already accepted some folks to BU yet? Possibly soft waitlisted?
  10. In the same boat with UIC - not sure if they plan to send out any more acceptances or if not being accepted yet is a soft waitlist/rejection.
  11. I’m sorry to hear that things didn’t turn out the way you hoped this application season. You have been very kind in your interactions and well wishes for the group over these past weeks. You will continue to make an impact in the work you do! Keep bringing your special qualities to the table!
  12. Just wanted to check in again - has anyone here received acceptances from BU or NYU for their DrPH programs?
  13. I just wanted to pop in here and say that when I was using Gradcafe back in 2012 for my master’s applications, I never saw so many kind and supportive individuals in one place. Best of luck to you all - you’re all amazing public health professionals! I hope the world continues to benefit from the work you all do.
