  1. Hey guys, I have decided to go to Harris. I am wondering whether anyone make the same decision too. What is your main reason? Thanks!
  2. No offense, I just think no schools will promise to place you in a particular position. There is no guarantee to get a good job. A person who graduate from a prestigious school may get unemployed. I have a friend who still cannot get a satisfying job after she has graduated from columbia for 2 years. But i think the reputation of the school does benefit to us when we hunt jobs. And I am certain that we will get better economic courses and quantitative skills from Harris than most schools. These skills and knowledge will always make you be competitive in the job market. and some alumni get good jobs in international market. I watched the video of the 2010 open house event. I remember a MPP graduate became a manager for a microfinance project in India.
  3. hi all, after the harris open house event, will you want to go to the school? thanks.
  4. As for economic policy, I will choose harris school. They also dont give me any funding, but i will still choose harris too.

How long will you stay in Chicago? I am a new yorker and will study in u of chicago in the coming fall. will you live in off campus housing??
  6. Harris admitted student without funding here.... Thank you for your information. It really helps!!! Can you also briefly talk about how much you spend per year? The official website gives us a list of spending, but I think the costs are over estimated. How you think? I know the tuition is 38500 in the coming semester. How can we try to save some other costs Thanks!
  7. SAME AS TOPIC....IF THEY GIVE YOU SIMILAR AMOUNT OF FUNDING, WHICH ONE WILL YOU CHOOSE? WHICH ONE WILL PROVIDE BETTER JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN THE FUTURE?
  8. Hi mmac06,

Nice to meet you here. I have read your post before. I know that you are working and living in Chicago. Since I am accepted to the MPP program in UC, I would like to know more about the living expense in Chicago before I make any decision. Can you tell me something about that? Is it easy to find affordable housing around UC?

    Thanks a lot!

  9. this is a nice post. Thanks!
  10. I just know that I am accepted to the MPP program. Unfortunately , they will not offer any scholarship for me. I really do not know whether I should accept the offer. The tuition is about $ 35100 each year. I may have to pay by loan. If I graduate from the school , will I be able to find a good job ? How do you guys think??
