Rejects from Cornell and Duke today! But not upset with the acceptances already received and the a couple others pending. Im likely heading to the UK or Windy City.

UW-Madison Rejection. I am not upset. 5A, 0w, 5R, 6P

Claiming Northwestern! I was so stressed and felt like a rejection was coming. 4A, 4R, 0W, 7P

Claiming Chicago rejection. I am still in the dark with Northwestern. I did not received a rejection during the mass email late last week but have not heard anything else. Any ideas?

It looked like 5-6 acceptances came in a few days back. I am stressed here non-stop checking my email and Northwestern portal hoping for an update. 😕 I feel like an impending rejection is coming based on such strong profiles getting turned away.

I’m a little suspicious as well. Top 2 university in the UK should mean Oxbridge. If so, neither have a Master’s in Political Science. Cambs has an MPhil in Politics and IR while Oxford offers and MPhil in Politics (Comparative Government). I understand this is close but most Oxbridge grads I have met are quite specific about an MPhil/MSc and their specific degree title.

Idk if there is any such thing as a safe application but I have friends who have been admitted into their dream schools and denied/wait listed by their “safety school”. Stay positive!
