  1. Currently in the OEL program (grad in may), now applying for the PH.D program CIS concentration. I think it's hard to understand the statistics for HGSE, since all of their PH.D programs officially let's go through GSAS instead, even though the classes you take will be through HGSE. Just a heads up why the statistics change vastly from source to source. Technically, only in the master's programs and the doctor of educational leadership ( which isn't running this year.) are fully HGSE.
  2. I'm rooting for you! 😀
  3. Here2 Teach... been thinking of you on the waitlist... any good news yet?
  4. Well, although I know HGSE was the best fit for me (Hello, the birthplace of UDL), and thus it was the only place I applied to, it is not the only top education school. Columbia, NYU, and Stanford, just to name a few, are better for some people. Each person is different, and thus, so is every program. The HGSE program is also expensive, I am not 100% sure I can afford it, I am applying for everything I can. So therefore, I think it fair to assume there will be movement on the waitlist, as many people who got in likely got into a few other great programs. I hope that it is enough for you to secure a place.
  5. Good Luck! I hope you get a slot this time around. Thanks for all your support of us all!
  6. Woot... although I got denied the Ed.L.D program I DID GET ACCEPTED to the Ed. M. I am over the moon. I cannot belive it!
  7. This time tomorrow we will know. I am unsure if I am ready, I like holding the hope.
  8. 15 years here. Advocate for Neuroinclusive classrooms. My recent resume is strong, but I have a history of serious educational struggles from when I was younger. Perhaps I will apply again at some point in the future.
  9. Basically yes it's required. HGSE's official stance is that not getting an interview isn't a straight denial, but historically they haven't accepted people that they haven't interviewed. I wasn't invited for an interview this year either.
  10. I applied to the OEL program as well.
  11. I applied. I am not sure if my essay was my best work. I generally don't struggle with selling myself, but there was so much to say it was hard to find the words. Additionally, I have had an incredibly important fall, and as important as this opportunity is to me, my students always come first and I try to prioritize my advocacy as well.
