Yes, I am currently in a musicology MA program! 😅

Personal statement, definitely. But for the writing samples, I submitted a current draft of a forthcoming journal article (it’s now officially published), a published book review, and a paper I presented at AMS.

Some professors might not be able to take in students even though it’s a good fit because they took in students last year.

Oh my! I am so sorry! I had a similar situation with UofChicago and Northwestern. They rejected me back to back (not for their musicology program, though) a few weeks ago. Do you have at least standing offers?

6 years funding including, 50k stipend annually, bursary to help with moving costs, and insurance (health, dental, and vision) i dont think Cornell does interviews

Sound/Music studies along the currents of political extremism. I applied to both history and musicology programs (my background is musicology though). My interested lie on the cultural (music) and sensory (sound) history of the Holocaust and the Armenian Genocide, World Wars, and the Third Reich!

The DGS at Indiana U-Bloomington said they’re sending out offers this week but whoa Vanderbilt has been really good at being radio silent. Or is it just me? Has anybody heard anything from Vanderbilt History Admissions or their respective POIs?

Idk if this is allowed to ask but I’m genuinely curious, so I want to sincerely ask: what are everybody’s subfields and PhD projects? 🤓😄
