Lol I also received a rejection and got a semi-informal email last Friday 8 pm. Idk if that’s because I’m an internal applicant (current student) but whatever. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m a current student so I actually applied internally so I just e-mailed my materials instead of the application system which makes things a bit different for my case…. But hopefully??

The Graduate Advisor at UW-Madison told me they will release all notifications today but I have not heard a thing…I wonder…

Since acceptances were released yesterday, rejections might be next..tomorrow or Friday.

I feel the same way. I took a gamble in applying to history because I’m coming from a different somewhat related field (historical musicology), then two big non-Ivy schools had already rejected me before Brown. 😭

That’s what one of my mentors told me to be careful about in the SOP. But good thing I’m raised in a culture where you should always show up with a sense of humility and willingness to learn.

Damn I guess UW-Madison is releasing rejections first….

Is it reasonable to worry if you haven’t heard anything back, informally (from POI) or formally, at this time?
