Still waiting here. I emailed the professor I interviewed with towards the end of last week, but haven't heard anything. Part of me wonders if all acceptances went out last week, and only a couple of the people were on draft. I still have hope for fiction though.

Looks like Pitt is alive! Acceptances for Poetry and Nonfiction on draft.
-
Seeing those notification on the spread sheet made me way more excited than it should have. I really hope this is a sign that they're progressing with admissions, instead of clearing out the applicants before they announce that they are pausing the program for the year. Fingers crossed!

Same, I had really high hopes after the interview and they went to the top of my list afterwards. I really hope we end up hearing anything from them soon. Between what I've been told and what others have posted on draft, it seems that even the professors there don't know what is happening with the program at the moment.
-
I received the same answer when I emailed as well. At this point, I'm starting to wonder if they'll take anyone this year.
-
Anyone heard anything from Pittsburgh since their update email at the end of February? They're the last program I'm waiting on.
-
Congrats! Was it for fiction or poetry?

I know how you feel. My first interactions with programs post submissions was an interview with Pitt and an acceptance from USF. I (mistakenly) thought that meant I would be hearing more good news as more programs released decisions. It did not. Instead I've had a nice run of 14 rejections since then, with only a few more to go.
-
Based on the note included with the draft notification, I would say that the acceptances went out first.
-
Missing calls gives me so much anxiety right now. A Florida number called me, was it UF? just a telemarketer? should I call it back? Ugh
-
If you don't mind me asking, why is Florida State your top choice? I went there for undergrad and enjoyed it, but I never really see it mentioned among people's choices for MFA schools.
-
Looks like some schools are notifying over the weekend. Draft has a FSU fiction acceptance and there's a Wisconsin on the results page here. I hope people hear something good!

My last LoR was submitted yesterday, so everything that can be submitted is. I'm glad it's done. One of the worst parts was trying to get the last couple of letters in without prodding my professors too much. Here's to another cycle after last year's disappointing one. 0a/0w/0r/20p

I'm certain there are more waitlisted people out there then have been reported here and in draft. I do know some people were not invited to round 2, but it's probably not a large amount. -

Also got waitlisted at Tennessee. It's a huge relief to get that for me. At least now I can tell myself that I'm not wholly inadequate. Anyone have any idea how big the waitlist is? I saw someone say that last year the waitlist was over 80(!) people, which is insane (and tempers my excitement just a bit). 0a/1w/11r/5p -

I still haven't heard anything from any of the schools I applied to since December, when UTK said I made it to round 2, but I think it's safe to say I won't be getting any acceptances this year. I had no idea it would be so utterly discouraging and disappointing to watch draft's spreadsheet fill up with acceptances/waitlists while my inbox is totally empty. I keep telling myself that I only need one, but even that now seems impossible. I just feel like a failure, and that I wasted my recommenders' time and my own with all this. I guess I need to drastically rethink my writing sample and SOP if I try again for next year though right now I have no desire to do any of this again. 0a/0w/8r/9p -

Congratulations, hope you get an acceptance from it! Nothing in my inbox from them, oh well. 0a/0w/2r/14p -

Yeah, Ole Miss doesn't have a fee for first round applications. -

Not sure which genre you've applied for, but it doesn't seem that fiction acceptances have gone out for FSU yet (at least, there aren't any here or in Draft). -

I could have sworn I read that they would notify applicants if they made it to round 2 by the end of January, but can't seem to find that now. Maybe I was just misremembering the draft sheet from last season where the round 2 notifications went out at that time. So.much.waiting. -

Anyone heard anything from Arkansas yet? Their website said notifications of round two would go out toward the end of January. -

Has anyone heard about any fiction responses from FSU yet? They were out by this time last year, and draft has acceptances up for both poetry and CNF. Also, I think it's safe to claim a Pitt rejection since I haven't heard anything from them and several others received interview requests at the start of this week. 0a/0w/1r/Now 15p (thanks UF) -

To me, that reads like they are referring to their waitlist and that you could be accepted off of it at anytime after they send out their acceptances. The email didn't give any reasons, but last year in draft, there were people asking about rumors they had heard that the UF program was in trouble. No one knew anything at the time, but it was obviously something. -

I also never received an email confirming my submission to Pitt from gradcas. I talked to gradcas this morning though, and they said that it had been submitted, so I've no idea why there wasn't an email sent. -

Ah, you're right, took me a while to see it since I was sorting by date of notification (they put 2023 in for the year).
