Received an email at 9:30am this morning, and I am funded, hosted at a foreign institution. Scored 16.14/18, committee 5. Score of the last app recommended for funding was 14. My profile: ABD, 3 articles, 1 book chapter, 10 conference papers, 7 public facing/community oriented publications. To those who didn't get it - it's a crap shoot, and a lot of luck. Remember this doesn't define the importance of your work or your worth. ❤️

Thanks so much for this. Any tips for dealing? I think I should just ignore the world, apply to things as they come as much as I reasonably can, and finish the PhD. Trust that something will come along....

Also waiting... likely low chances as just finishing my PhD this year, and I know a lot of other applicants might have had more time since PhD to publish etc. The uncertainty about what comes next post-PhD is just unbearable though!
