  1. PhD, and both have been posted.
  2. Who else thinks this is Harvard PHS rejection week? I think it’s looking mighty grim now that they’ve sent out acceptances and waitlist positions (and accidentally celebrated it on instagram). Gird your loins, comrades. Best of luck to everyone!
  3. I’ve been saying this to myself this whole time. It really just comes down to luck.
  4. Same with Harvard like…I know I’m rejected pretty much but I just want to KNOW. I guess they’ll likely send rejections Friday so at least it’s not a long wait.
  5. Take the program you have in hand. If you did get this you could reevaluate. But PHS is looking grim, I think.
  6. I’ve accepted defeat. It’s looking mighty grim. I’m really sad bc this program is SUCH a tight match for my work and research experience and I had two solid interviews. Was really hopeful. Second time applying. Ah well.
  7. Oh wow ok - I haven’t gotten anything at all…wondering if this most likely means a rejection? Which discipline was this?
  8. People have reported waitlisting for Harvard PHS, one specifically for SBS. Would that not imply the existence of a list-list? Ahhhh I’m overthinking…. 😫 But seriously, wouldn’t you need list of people to admit to have a waitlist?
  9. I applied to PhD and not DrPH but I think the above is the same for both (edit: on the website, they’ve indicated decisions “by” the 23rd). Not sure if DrPH is SOPHAS or GSAS. I had two interviews with my faculty of interest following introductory emails I sent to express my interest. This was before I submitted my materials, so I’ve been nervous, but I think following above, they may not have needed to follow up, since we spoke. Here’s hoping!!
  10. Thanks, this is super helpful! Will just scratch off my list haha…
  11. Ok, good to know, will write this one off!
  12. Anyone hear anything from Yale SBS or get a formal interview? The department itself has no funding but there are alternative sources.
  13. I applied to the PhD in PHS (SBS) once before and got an email that an update was posted and to check the application portal. Of course, when I got into my master’s program (another school), I applied to two different tracks and got one email flatly saying I was denied and another saying the check the portal. That one ended up being the admissions offer letter. So reading tea leaves may be pointless. Edit: just remembering that with the initial acceptance email I was instructed to create an account on another website which clued me in to the contents. Similar to my.harvard.
  14. Is this for DrPH or PhD? I only have access to the application portal, I think, but I did have a Harvard key during an internship I did there several years ago. Wondering if I missed something?
  15. Yeah, I want sure if maybe I didn’t get an interview post-application because it wasn’t necessary (I had 2 one-hour meetings with my POIs so maybe they didn’t need to ask more questions), or if it was an indication that something changed after all apps were in, etc. No way to know so I’m choosing to be hopeful!
  16. I contacted several potential mentors and had two “pre-interviews” before applying. This was for PHS PhD. They say interviews may be offered to some but are not required. Honestly not sure what to think…fingers crossed as this is my top choice and a perfect fit for my interests and work thus far.
  17. Harvard Chan deleted that post welcoming new students…interesting!
  18. This was what I thought as well.
  19. The weird thing is that they’re welcoming newly admitted students in an instagram post from yesterday. Other degree programs or concentrations, maybe?
  20. Anyone get an acceptance from Harvard PHS yet? if so, what concentration? I saw someone post an acceptance elsewhere but can't find it on this site. Unsure if this was for MPH or PhD.
