  1. Hey, congratulations!! I would agree with you, most of the people I've met from Chapman have been on set through the TV and Film industry. I don't know much about them being known for fiction, but I know the Alumni network is vast, especially in the West. I work in TV so, if you want to get into TV/Film writing, then you'll definitely find your people there. For short stories and Novels, not too sure. Irvine is probably better for Fiction and better environment than Orange, if you're coming from NY. Hope this helps!
  2. Has anyone reached out to NYU admissions to inquire about the general email they sent? Does that mean anyone who didn't receive one is denied?
  3. Yeah looks like we're in the same boat. I can't afford to take out any loans and I thought I applied to all fully funded programs as well. Of course my 1A was like, we don't offer full merit scholarships anymore, sorry! Lol, fingers crossed for the rest of my responses and yours, too!
  4. Not any updates just a quick rant and question. I have been anxiety ridden since the year started. It was nice that my first response was an acceptance from my safety program, but, so far, it's the only program that's accepted me out of the 5 that have gotten back to me. I'm getting more nervous because the program that accepted me isn't fully funded. I was talking to my best friend who's a med student and she asked me if I would attend the program if it was 90% funded, to which I immediately responded with, no. She looked at me like I was insane but I tried to explain how the first rule of MFA Hunger Games is to not pay a dollar for the MFA, or atleast that's what I've gathered (first year applicant here). I guess I'm posing the question to you all, would you pay any amount out of pocket for this degree?
  5. I know this is a reach but would love to know. Whats the reasoning behind a program giving you a University ID AND an application reference ID. I'm also experiencing something of a mandala effect and hallucinating, thinking that I only saw the application reference ID and all of a sudden the University ID is there. Do they just give UID's to all applicants in general?
  6. First time applicant here.. anyone know anything about American Uni in DC? I got accepted but can't find much info online beyond their website. Also, they said they'd email me the financial info (my package info) but I never received it. How long do these things usually take?
  7. Yeah. Haven't heard from them either.
