Anybody here considering St. Mary's College of California? California College of the Arts?

I applied to Saint Mary's. It's the last program I'm waiting for as well. I talked to the admissions director about something unrelated a few week ago and he said decision would go out this week. On draft, a few fiction applicants have indicated acceptances (3?) but no poetry or CNF.

A question about visiting programs - I recently had an interview with a program and was offered the opportunity to both visit the campus and speak with a current student, which I am in the process of doing. They have not accepted me. I'm hoping this is a sign that they will admit me - have other people been in this position?

Hi all. I'm second guessing my decision to apply to MFA programs at all. I am an older applicant and I have an established career and kids. I can't move, so I applied to the four programs within driving distance of my house. None of these programs are fully funded. I don't think they're very competitive. Some of the professors are people I would happily work with, I just wonder if I'd do better staying in writing workshops rather than attending a program with a mediocre reputation and paying high tuition (which I am very lucky to be able to afford..... if anybody can really afford $30k for a degree that doesn't guarantee a steady job). Anybody here in this position?
