  1. I'm accepted, but I'm still deciding on where i'll be going.
  2. highly likely not, my scholarship offer wasn't enough. What about you?
  3. Heyy, I don't know about all the departments but sculpture sent out acceptances a while ago (early March) and rejections were sent one or two days prior to acceptances. interviews happened mid February for that department. Updates on rejection/acceptance were in the portal and notifications to check the portal were sent by email. I don't recall persons on this forum talking about being waitlisted so perhaps waitlisted persons weren't contacted? This part I don't have any concrete details on, just assuming.
  4. hii, I agree with the two previous replies. In addition, I'd say be honest and passionate about why that school is a good fit for you, for international students the answers to that question might vary alot. (I'm international too and being in an art city is high priority for me). i'd say speak confidently about your work and be clear and honest about how you want to grow your practice at that school. Lastly, prepare some solid questions to ask them when they ask if you have any questions. 3 questions would be good (so they see that you're interested). I hope this helps and wishing you all the luck for the interview
  5. To those who were also accepted by Yale, I'm curious to know what everyone is thinking regarding meeting the rest of their costs. From my understanding, even with full tuition covered (thats the maximum for their aid packages) the remaining cost is around $27000 per year for living expenses etc (got this info from their website) and there's nothing additional they offer other than loans. Does anyone have insight from friends or people they know in the MFA program about the reality of that cost? Is it really higher, lower? and what other opportunities they had to offset those costs? (TAship in the second year or work study I assume)
  6. hii, acceptances for sculpture went out 2nd of march, I don't remember if anyone posted about being waitlisted but you can search the chat in the upper- right corner of this webpage.
  7. heyy, majority of offers need to be accepted by April 15th. But programs encourage you to accept as soon as possible. I personally might decline offers end of March/ 1st week of April based on how this phase of the process is looking (trying to get a good view on the real finances of various schools, visiting the schools etc), it feels awful to prolong it so long but I don't want to take offers off the table just yet until I accept something.
  8. They say that they will meet demonstrated need up to 100% tuition (i'm not clear if that covers 'fees' as well). I am then assuming (uninformed assumption) that you can also work as a TA and get a salary. At some schools another benefit with TAing is health insurance coverage, im not sure where yale stands with that
  9. Also accepted into yale (sculpture). Congrats everyone!!
  10. Got an email this morning from VCU sculpture that I was waitlisted. so anyone else who was floating in the gray area of no acceptance no rejection check your emails.
  11. lol sameeeeeee. i literally crawled into my bed and said...check your emails one last time... why! Congratssssss to youu!!!!!! they will probably be my choice.
  12. UCLA sculpture acceptance emails are out! I got in! just got the email to check my portal
  13. heyyy! I see a few people saying they don't know about funding yet even though they have been accepted. Are you talking about federal funding? Im an international student so I only have access to merit based awards, I wonder if thats why my award was included in my acceptance letter. It's interesting how varied their mode of confirming acceptance is.
  14. Congrats on your acceptance! I applied to VCU sculpture and haven't gotten neither an acceptance nor a rejection. Just floating in the gray area it seems.
  15. I got an email from them that informed me of my acceptance, the acceptance letter was attached to the email and the letter outlined what award they are offering (20% tuition). I applied for sculpture. I didn't receive any links etc for a portal
