Okay, with today's rejection, here's my final results (all painting):
Yale: Rejected
Columbia: Rejected
Bard: Accepted, 1/3rd scholarship, also attending!
Hunter: Rejected
Apparently, Bard this year only has 3 people going for painting, including me. I wonder how competitive this cycle was for the programs, as most data seems to be from 2015/2016.
Has anyone had the experience where a couple of ppl interviewing liked you but one person just really doesn't like your art? I can't tell if it was a performance to show diversity of opinion or if that faculty member had some deep-seated hatred for my art...
Scrolling through some previous threads here, Bard was significantly overhauled in 2022. Can anyone speak to if it's better this year? I've only heard back from painting there for an interview from the other schools I applied for, so I'm wondering if the program is still good for kickstarting a contemporary art career.
