Weighing my offers for Fall 2024, and need some advice - I have offers from:
- Georgia Tech, MSc Analytics
- Columbia, QMSS (Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences)
- UCLA, MQE (Quantitative Economics)
- Imperial, MSc Business Analytics
- LSE, MSc Data Science
My considerations are:
- Reputation of university / couse
- Good balance of rigour and industry relevance / application
- Somewhat manageable workload that would allow me to explore what university life / life in the area has to offer (I'm into coffee and climbing so it would be a plus if there are options around)
I have a Bachelor's in Economics (Quantitaive focus and a minor in Statistics) and will be pursuing my Master's under a scholarship from work (I'm currently an economist), and I would like my Master's to give me the option of making a career move (into a data analyst / scientist role) if I'm keen to after completing my bond (for 3 years).
Would love some advice on which of my offers would be the best fit for me, and which courses are most likely to hold their value / give me better options if I were to make a career switch after serving my bond. Thanks in advance!
