  1. MSU is indeed strong in the field of probability, and I also get hesitated between it and ISU. Also, how do you think about Purdue statistics department? I rank it higher for me because their stronger support for students to industry.
  2. Hello everyone, I'm an international student fortunate enough to have received admissions offers from several PhD programs in statistics: Purdue, Iowa State, University of Georgia, and Michigan State. However, I'm finding it challenging to make a decision and would greatly appreciate your insights and opinions. I come from a strong mathematical background but have only one year of coding experience. Additionally, I'm relatively new to statistical analysis, having recently transitioned to a statistics major for my PhD. Therefore, I'm looking for a program that provides robust support and resources for students with diverse academic backgrounds. Lastly, I'm interested in industry placements and opportunities beyond academia. While both universities have strong connections with industry partners, I'm curious about the specific resources and support available for students seeking careers outside academia. Thank you in advance for your help, and I look forward to hearing from you. Also appreciate any suggestions on how to improving code or statistics part before entering the PhD program. Warm regards,
