  1. I already started informing them about the situation. Hope they dont urge me to retake the exam! I am pretty sure that anyone with the same name wont be applying to same schools with me. The only thing I am worried about is the mismatch issue. I dont know what method do they use to find respective score report for an online application. They must be receiving large volume of reports/applications.
  2. " TOEFL program policy does not allow us to change or delete identifying information on the examinee file after the test date." That's what they say. Some people on other forums also had the same mistake, however they managed to make ETS correct it. I am not sure whose fault it is. I even recognized this mistake way after score report arrived in paper form. Why do you believe it can be a problem? Will admission officers think that I am cheating them?
  3. My actual birth date is 08/27 however on TOEFL score report it is written as 08/08. I have asked ETS twice to correct it however they rejected my request. Will this cause a problem during admission decisions? Such as the possibility of mismatching between online application and score report?
  4. I am currently in my 7th semester and I am going to start applications as soon as my GRE writing is announced. I entered GRE on 16 October and I hope I will receive offical results very soon. My current CGPA is 3.47. However I hold 4 for every department related class I have attended until now. I am not sure whether that will make a difference. I am interested with RF and microelectronics. I am also familiar with Verilog HDL. TOEFL is 97 and GRE is 500V 800 Q. Until now I have decided to apply these schools: Texas A&M University(a professor of mine taught there and he will provide me a lor) Ohio State University Arizona State University Virginia Tech (not sure) University of Massachusetts--Amherst Syracuse University (interviewed with a professor, safety) Rochester Institute of Technology (safety) I tried to be coherent with my field of interest while creating this list. Should I apply for masters or PhD? Should I remove/add other schools? Any advice is appreciated.
