I'm a biochemistry major who is planning to add a chemistry major to my degree. My main reason for this is that I'm interested in very competitive grad schools and because a chem major is needed for me to take inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry and pchem. Is it advantageous in PhD applications to have a double major (i.e does anyone care)? I'm also in a research lab simultaneously and plan to work in the same lab a year after graduation.
