  1. Here is the study guide that I used: http://www.mygretutor.com/studyPlans.aspx There's an 8 week study plan, which sounds like it fits with your time frame. Good luck!
  2. There's a section on my online app with the following question: "Describe employment occupation or activities pertinent to your graduate goals during or since your collegiate studies." I'm a little confused what I should be writing here, because this section is in addition to a work experience section where I list my jobs, my resume where I list my extracurricular activities/volunteer opportunities, and my statement or purpose where I expand on all of my work and volunteer experience (and explain how it got me to where I am). What exactly should I be focusing on here? I feel like it's a little redundant.
  3. I currently work in Student Affairs and the biggest piece of advice I've been given about pursuing a career in this field is NETWORKING is crucial! Definitely get involved on your campus, get to know people and what they do, what dept/office they're affliated with, and maybe sit down and talk with them about how they got to where they are now. That's how I'm getting to know quite a few people on campus. And you'd be surprised how willing people are to connect you with other folks in the field! If you want your fingers to do the walking, look into joining NASPA (http://www.naspa.org/) and the Placement Exchange (http://www.theplacementexchange.org/).
  4. I've talked to a few folks that are in the program and they've all said the MSA program at UCLA is really strong on SOCIAL JUSTICE. What are you looking to know about the program?
