  3. By the way, I saw one applicant's post who received 6 admission offers, including offer from MIT as of today 😀 seems that for some applicants; this application cycle goes quite well.

  7. By the way, is there any update about George Washington University PhD program? I couldnt see any update but it is a bit weird that they still didn't announce.
  8. I didn't apply to Rutgers but based on my previous experiences; sometimes it might mean either waitlist or soft-rejection. They always state how impressed they are with the applicants' files and resumes; but at the end they either put you into waitlist or they reject your application 😞 I hope you would receive offer from them.

  12. It depends on universities; top PhD programs are quite selective. Whereas, mid-ranked programs might more focus on your higher grades during your Master program.
  13. They also have a PhD program for Political Science, as far as I know. But it is interesting that they will not admitting a PhD cohort this year.

  21. Congratulations, I hope your interview would go well. They might ask why you chose to apply for that program, for instance. Are you applying from an Undergraduate or Graduate program in the US; top program or not? Or, are you international applicant? Their questions might change depending on these factors, that's why I wanted to ask.

Wish you best of luck for your PhD application results :) I am a International Political Science Master student from American University within the field of Comparative politics; voter behavior more specifically. I wonder from which institutions did you apply -top 20 universities or more diverse institutions-because I am a bit worried whether AU Master degree would make me competitive enough for my PhD applications.
