  1. Just saw a CNF waitlist posted to Draft, so if that wasn’t you…I’d assume rejection, sorry.
  2. I think they typically took at least 2, but possibly more. But they used to rotate genres, 2 genres open for apps at one time. This year, they're doing all 3 genres.
  3. It’s a PhD rejection. Different timeline and rarer for them to report in the doc.
  4. Don’t know if they interview poets, but I do know that some interview requests go out on different days, theres often a range.
  5. Just based off the Draft notification sheet and here - no one's posted anything yet. Fiction interviews still a possibility.
  6. Hopium is all we got. But I want to point out that in 2022, there weren’t any acceptances until 1/25 (made an error in my older post that said 1/22). Also, except for last year, all UIUC results have come out on Tuesdays. 👀
  7. Virginia Tech’s deadline was just over 1 week ago, it’d be a bit fast for them no? They did have an early result last year, but their deadline was a month earlier. Most of their results from other years seem to be reported in early March or late Feb (though the data’s not the best) [specifically referencing fiction results]
  8. It’s weird bc why would Ohio ask people to keep quiet if all their applicants have received their results already?
  9. Yeah it’s a weird year. Only posts showing Ohio waitlists, and rejections via portal, no acceptances (of a ~12 person cohort) posted in any forum. Since rejections and waitlists already went out, we have to assume acceptances did too. And there’s no reason not to share, anonymous or not, once all results are posted. So perhaps there’s a larger swath of applicants who aren’t online or posting to draft than we thought. (Or something real weird is going on. I didn’t even apply to Ohio, but since there’s been no movement at all, we’ve got a lot of (too much) time to think.) UIUC is also a little weird, but the reason could just be they’re running later than prior years (in the past 5 years their latest acceptances have been 1/22, so not terribly far off). Perhaps they had a larger number of applicants, or, for some less exciting, more banal reason. Their cohort is smaller, but no mention of fiction waitlists either. Mostly this just means there’s been no happy news for anyone (mostly in fiction) except for Ohio waitlists). Still early though!
  10. Virginia Tech sometimes does. Amherst does.
  11. Since submitting I’ve also received no communications from them - seems normal
  12. Don't want to dampen spirits but in most cases acceptances go out first. It's possible that the acceptances were told not to share their news (but no such thing was done with the waitlists). But what do I know!
  13. Good luck! It's hard to stop checking for notifications despite knowing that they won't be arriving any time soon (for some). Also, in general, decisions are never uploaded to the portal first - you'll likely get a call or email first.
  14. In the past 3 years, JHU's response time has varied from early to mid Feb (2/6-2/13), though they've gone later than that (2/28 in 2020). Notre Dame has a later application date (so a later response) and they do interviews. Interview notifications have fallen around 2/14-16 [only 2 years worth of data]. Their acceptances have gone out anywhere from 2/23-3/5. Take a breath. We'll get there!
  15. I've heard that there was at least 1 poetry waitlist, probably indicating there have been poetry acceptances. Poetry nearly always hears back first (for all programs), so don't sweat it! No fiction rumbles - according to notification data, there haven't been acceptances this early for fiction.
