  1. tkovac, thanks for your reply. I really appreciate your feedback. As difficult as it is, I'm going to go ahead and take the plunge at AU. No funding at all is still hard to stomach but i have no choice. Good luck! HandsomeNerd, I've been in contact with the AU financial aid office and they seemed pretty set on not negotiating when it comes to awards. I received a half tuition award from Brandeis and tried to leverage that but they weren't buying any of it. I guess it doesn't hurt to try again.
  2. Accepted but with no funding. Not sure if it's worth it. Anyone else planning on attending or not ? Curious about what everyone else thought.
  3. Mal83, good luck! You'll probably hear today or tomorrow. I called the Financial Aid office today and the counselor told me that they're still working on packets and that I should hear back the first week of April whether I'm going to get anything or not. Keep us updated!
  4. I got an email from SIS last Wed (3/25) inviting me to an event here in NYC for accepted students before receiving anything in the mail. Got the official acceptance letter on Friday that was dated March 18. I got into the ID program but I guess without any $$ because there was nothing else in the packet. Really sucks since I really want to go to American. Rejected by GWU Brandeis SID=19K aid Don't know if the program at American is worth all the loans i'd have to take.:-(
  5. Hi everyone, I'm from ny and interested in international affairs/intl development. My first choice is Columbia SIPA's MIA program but my quant scores were HORRIBLE so i'm crossing my fingers. i don't have a strong economics/math background so it seems like i'm screwed but i'm going ahead and applying anyway. What about you guys? what's your first choice and how about back up options? thanks!
