  1. How small of a mistake? I feel like MFA committees are more forgiving about small mistakes than say, medical programs, especially if they are interested in your work. You could have a perfect application on paper but if they don't like the work, they don't like it. We are so close to knowing and we won't know until we know!
  2. Nice! I'm curious if there is any correlation between checking out our website and getting an interview. My website doesn't actually use Google Analytics, just a standard tracker from the web host which might not be as accurate.
  3. Current freak out level: checking the analytics of my website. No new hits. Chat, am I done for? 🫠
  4. I'm going to copy and paste something someone wrote on last year's thread. Last year they heard back on Tuesday, Feb 6: "Nothing from Yale, but based on grad cafe this is when they sent interview invites for the last 6 years: 2023: 2/5 2022: 2/1 2021: 2/6 2020: 1/28 2019: 2/1 2018: 2/2 Besides the COVID year, they consistently send them out the first week of February, but that doesn't look like it's going to be the case this year. I'm guessing they received more applicants than ever this year, maybe we will hear back Monday or Tuesday" For the record, I think that we will hear back early next week, maybe the 3rd or 4th.
  5. Any bets for when we will hear back from Yale?
  6. Where did you apply and what discipline?
  7. From everything I've read on past threads, all of my programs send out interview requests between February and March. In theory, it is a pretty quick turnaround (especially compared to some open calls that make you wait 3 months before hearing back anything...), but the wait is excruciating.
  8. Has anyone else been feeling down about their art now that applications are in? I thought I'd feel relieved but now I'm second guessing everything.
  9. Hi everyone, lurker joining now because I'm antsy from waiting. I applied to a bunch of schools, but Yale painting is the one I'm most excited about. Does anyone want to share about the kind of art they make? I work with a lot of different media besides painting and my work is visually diverse, but centered on core idea relating to identity.
