Hi, I just found out that I was accepted into the sociology program at FIU but I honestly don´t know much about it. I had hoped to go into Anthropology but was rejected by the programs I had applied to. I know Anthropology is fairly competitive but I don´t know much about sociology PhD programs. I´m wondering whether to reapply next year to other sociology programs at various schools (I wanted to be on the east coast) or to accept FIU´s offer. If anything knows about FIU´s sociology program, I´d really appreciate your input. thanks!

hey, just recieved an e-mail from uc davis saying that i can check the decision of my application on march 14. there have already been both acceptances and rejections on the results page, so i don´t know what to think of this. any thoughts?

Hi, I've been having trouble finding schools with faculty that focus on Latin American immigration (particularly South America), to both the U.S. and Europe. I would like to look at race, assimilation, and colonialism. So far, I've been looking at Anthropology programs and I'm planning on applying to NYU, Rutgers, UPenn, and UC Davis. I am starting to look into Sociology and History programs and I was wondering if anyone knew of any schools that have faculty in these departments that may have similar interests as me. Thank you!!
