Part of me just wants this to be over honestly, so I'm taking the closure for now with the understanding there's a slim chance it gets upended. People going to CSU--( still keeping fingers crossed @everything bagel lover gets that funding) --I am moving to Fort Collins most likely if any of you ever want to talk writing outside your cohort!

With UVA acceptances reported I think that wraps up my MFA season. I had a good run. Thanks everyone for being so kind and supportive through this ordeal. (I know my "real" rejections are forthcoming but I think its super unlikely at this point.)

I got this email saying they hadn't decided... and then saw waitlists had gone out already. sigh. Thank you so much for reaching out to check in. We are in the process of finalizing admissions decisions, so I imagine that you will receive your decision by the end of next week. Ah, that's a solid set of data. Someone I know who goes to CU for something else told me that they're notorious for spreading out notifications through their system, but I doubt that applies to their MFA system so I'm more inclined to believe you. Though at this point I think a waitlist would be the best thing to ever happen to me after 10 rejections and I would cease to exist upon receiving it. EDIT: Seriously considering going and emailing to get that final bit of closure so I can move on from my MFA dream for a year or two.

I saw one poetry one on here and one fiction one on Draft, do we think those are it?

I've made peace with the fact that I'm probably not getting in anywhere this round, but I need to get out of my current situation so I really would like to know for sure that I'm not in so I can figure out how to proceed if that makes sense. I'm planning a big move and a job search but both of those might be redundant if I randomly get in somewhere. It makes me just want to withdraw from consideration... Anyway, sorry to be such a downer. I really am happy for all of you!

Also last year the acceptances were reported around this week for Boulder, but for waitlists and rejections, they had to wait another about two weeks. I am pretty sure at this point I'm not getting accepted, and it kills me that I'll have to wait that long for a probable rejection...

I also applied to CU Boulder. I also noticed the last of definitive language about funding, but I'm so desperate for this experience I might actually take on student debt if given the chance to at least try. I think I need to get it through my head that its not worth that. I fear nobody has vibed with it thus far and nobody will...

Currently 1 acceptance per genre in the spreadsheet. I applied to UVA! The way this round is going it doesn't look like I'll get an offer or a waitlist though...

Insane job! Now I gotta stress about those fiction notifs though...

Why is JHU like this...

I need Colorado, Virginia, WashU, and Brown to drop asap so I can accept it and move on and start to work on stronger applications.
