  1. If you join, you get an extra 250mb added to the 2gb you're already offered, so 2.25gb! http://db.tt/ecPTAad
  2. I'm applying to 2 MA programs for Publishing, and both ask similar questions and have similar requirements for the SOP and the programs themselves are very similar (that's why I'm applying to both!). Obviously they're not going to be carbon copies of each other, but is it normal to use a similar template for each SOP? I'm mainly asking this in regards to the professors I've picked to write my letters of recommendation as they'll see both SOPs, will they care think less of me? Thanks!
  3. Thanks for the help everyone, I might use a quote from Seamus Heaney instead of Victor Hugo since I'm using my thesis on Heaney for my writing sample...great suggestion!
  4. So I'm applying to a few publishing programs around the US and I'm a bit nervous about my intro paragraph to my SOP. I've tended to use a quotation to begin an essay's intro in the past and I've never really gotten any negative feedback from my professors about it at UC Berkeley, but a few SOP-centric sites say that doing so is "hackneyed." Can someone check it out and see if it's acceptable? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks
