Congrats to everyone who got funding! Alas, I was not successful. However, my letter says that my application was recommended for funding by the merit review committee.
Applications recommended for funding that are not offered an award due to the availability of funds could receive an offer at a later date. SSHRC will contact you if additional funds become available.
Is this something SSHRC writes to all rejected applications or are there actually waitlisted applications with the slim possibility of funding down the road? Does anyone know what the likelihood is and how long one can expect to wait before receiving an answer?
This is my first time applying before starting with a foreign university in September. Don't know if that negatively impacted my application. Thanks in advance for any feedback and insight!
