Hi, Probably way too early to be posting here but I've been applying to undergraduate degrees (I'm considering accepting an offer for Mathematics and Philosophy at King's College London) and thinking about the implications of my UG degree choice on the graduate courses I can apply to. I've been looking at the BPhil at Oxford and they require a degree in "philosophy or a closely related discipline", and indicate that candidates with other degrees may be considered depending on the philosophy modules they have taken. Would a joint honours degree with something like mathematics disadvantage applications to courses like the BPhil? I'm tempted to think it can't be that bad since Oxford doesn't let their own undergraduates take single honours philosophy. I'm not set on Oxford's programme or anything at this stage but I'm slightly concerned about graduate philosophy courses more broadly.

I am thinking about applying to the 3-year Bachelor of Philosophy programme at KU Leuven, but have heard things about the department's reputation for a focus on continental philosophy potentially harming graduates' postgrad study prospects in US and UK departments, which tend to focus more heavily on analytic philosophy. How much truth is there to this? I just don't want to limit my opportunities to apply to more analytic departments for further study later on.
