Got accepted at both, interests are ML / CV / RL so both programs can fit well but the nuance could be a bit different
I want to eventually do a PhD so im looking for research opportunities (including funded RA) / internal phd transfer opportunities
Thesis option is not default at both programs but is available
GaTech seems to provide an internal MS -> PhD transfer, but at UMich i have to complete a new application.
Nevertheless, my understanding is that the process is a formality given i find a professor willing to fund me for the PhD
Which school would be a better environment for research as an MS student?
Also the GaTech MS Robotics seems to be a relatively new program with smaller cohort sizes, so it is hard to find much info. Is there anything that i should be aware of?
