chill out. Extremely strange decision to lash out at literally complete strangers on the internet for being excited over getting into a grad program. Live and let live. What's it to you? If you're anything like this irl you're not making it in academia no matter which program you get into

If I had to guess I'd say every call has gone out by now 😕 this ends my season but I'm not too disappointed as I got my top choice!

Admissions typically get harder every year, and yes the federal fund freezes are causing a lot of universities to reduce their typical cohort size, which means there are fewer seats per applicant

I know at least one theorist who got waitlisted at Chicago recently! and I can confirm theorists are getting spots at other schools:)

Not sure if that's the right inference. I think people are just using gradcafe less. but with recent developments in american schools it could be possible there are fewer applications than normal
