I'm sure that they're used to people feeling anxious and not answering perfectly! plus, not being from the US/prestigious school only makes it more impressive that you got an interview, they probably value that about you, it makes you a super unique candidate! Also if you want to speak with someone who went through the same process, many current students are on social media and they might be able to talk with you I didn't get an interview but tbh I didn't expect one at all ahah I don't think I really fit the profile of a media lab student, I'd like to get more experience in tangible installations and research before applying again! Hoping for the best for you!!!

Congrats for your interview!!! Why do you think that you’re cooked? Maybe stress makes you feel like you did worse than you actually did, do you want to talk about it?

Can I ask why the 26th is considered a deadline? On their website, I can only see things about the 25th of February and if we take into account the previous years they don't seem to completely follow the deadlines 😅 In any case it would be disappointing to get no news but it seems pretty common to apply multiple times before getting in!

I had two visits from Cambridge lasting about 10 minutes in late december/early january and nothing since, I think not hearing anything at this point is still pretty normal!

it's really unfair that you have to think of that in addition to all of the already complicated application stuff. MIT has an International Student Office, maybe they could have valuable information? Maybe there are grants that would allow you to take a smaller loan than expected, in addition to the stipend that the Media Lab offer? I'm sorry, I don't know your situation and I don't want to assume anything, I hope that you're doing okay despite the news

It's too soon to tell, I'm sure they'll get to your portfolio eventually but yeah, it's definitely nerve-wracking... excited for you to see the first few hits soon!! Also, since you've applied to only one group, you're bound to have less portfolio views than the people who've applied for more, I'm sure that it doesn't mean anything about the quality of your application or your chances Best of luck to you!

Hi! Happy new year everyone I applied to CCC and PR, anyone else? I'm also curious about your backgrounds if you'd be willing to share, are you still in school and/or working? What made you want to apply? I feel like the Media Lab attracts a very diverse crowd Also, I got a visitor from Boston on my portfolio and then the next day a few from all over Europe?
