looking for some advice about NYU...i was accepted to the cnf track with the standard half tuition remission. i live in ny, not planning to move for a while, and really want to pursue an mfa, so nyu seems like the best option. with working part-time/payment plans/help from my partner, i can avoid loans, but im trying to figure out if it's worth it to go for it now, or if there's any merit in waiting a year and trying again to get a fully funded offer (since there's always the chance of getting rejected next year 🥲). anyway, would appreciate any advice anyone has or info about the nyu program ! also worth it to add, ive asked already about more money and will have to wait til the april 15th deadline to get more info but seems unlikely. and since i only applied to ny programs the other offers i have are worse funding wise so not super helpful for negotiating :,(

got a call earlier this morning from leslie and havent gotten an email or portal update yet, seems like most programs have a bit of a lag so im sure itll come soon!! congrats on your acceptance !!!!

nyu cnf is out, 12 people accepted so its smaller than other genres (24 each for poetry and fiction) — from what i gather, they're going to send out more acceptances as people decline the offer! and i dont think waitlists have gone out yet keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!!! seems like so much shakes up/changes between now and april 15th

update from the nyu event today: deborah landau said they accepted 24 poetry, 24 fiction, 12 cnf but according to some notes on draft they're still sending out acceptances..."NYU admin has said they're not done with sending out acceptances and waitlists yet! (heard this separately from 2 current NYU MFA students 🙂)" another person on draft said they got accepted yesterday, so looks like they're continuing to send off offers as people decline/more spaces become available

was accepted into nyu nonfiction yesterday (!!!so excited!!!) but havent gotten funding updates...has anyone else from cnf gotten funding info yet??🥲

was hoping so since AWP starts tomorrow 🥹 hope we dont have to wait until next week

waiting on nyu too (but nonfiction)...seems like theres no way they've sent out everything though, there's only 7 total acceptances im seeing on draft...hopefully they release the rest soon i cant take the waiting lol fingers crossed for you!!!

longtime lurker who finally made an account....does anyone know about NYU nonfiction??? does it come out similar timing to fiction/poetry? stress sweating over here
