Hi all, I'm about to start my master's at McGill and am only a little bit familiar with Montreal and its layout. What are the best/most populars neighbourhoods for grad students? I'm 25 and not looking to be surrounded by purely undergrads, but also do want somewhere close by. I'm torn between Milton Parc and the Lower Plateau, anyone have any insight on where most grad students end up living? What places have the best atmosphere?

Thanks for this! McGill's grad department has said they don't disclose info.....is there really no way for me to know if they're one of the institutions who don't divulge? I have no idea if I should realistically expect movement or whether it's basically a lost cause, and it is complicating my decision process.

Does anyone know the chances for alternate at McGill for SSHRC master's ? I know this forum's about the doctoral award, but felt like people here might know!
