Hi folks. Curious to hear from outside perspectives - what my what my chances are at a Developmental Psych PhD program based of these stats:
- 3.9 GPA
- 1 year undergrad RA experience
- 2.5 years RA and coordinator experience (at time of application) at large, NIH funded study
- 1 poster at National conference
- 1 first author manuscript submitted to journal
- 1 additional 1st author project might be in prep
- 3 years volunteering experience with elementary youth. Mentoring and tutoring
- 2 strong LORs from well established PIs. 3rd LOR might be weaker (didn’t work as closely)
- I’m interested in how stress (SES, discrimination, neighborhood disadvantage) during the perinatal period “gets under the skin” and may confer risk for neurodevelopment and psychopathology
