I do think they will be out in the next week though. They have already sent out some admits, though I don't think its the full quota yet.

I too mailed them yesterday asking if the first wave was finalised / sentout and should we expect more waves or only waitlists. They said they would let us know of the decisions once they are done, which should be about 2 weeks from now.

Has UMD CS PhD started giving out admits? Has anybody heard back from them? Also, do they give it out in one burst or generally dole the admits out over 2-3 weeks?

hehe, I had a funny dream where I was talking about my application to my potential adviser - that too in a bus ride to the uni! (I live at a 12 hour time difference zone from the place my university is in!). And then when we reach the university finally, it is strangely set somewhat like the place I live in. Then I went around the campus looking for somebody I know on there. App season makes you crazy.
