  1. sorry didn't mean to seem uptight, i was just kidding around. tone on anonymous internet postings etc etc um how about a little levity: my personal favorite protest sign
  2. I've been incredibly fortunate. Stanford, Duke and Michigan are the only places I've heard from so far and they have all had good news for me. Got a few more pending but I'm already feeling so overwhelmed. And its actually woman. bob loblaw is just a reference to the greatest show ever: arrested development
  3. I did not post on the results section but I found out about being accepted by michigan just a few minutes ago. As I've said before, good luck everyone!
  4. I just found out about getting in at Duke, I had checked about 2 hours ago and nothing was up. So to everyone still waiting to hear don't give up! It seems like they are going up slowly for no apparent reason.
  5. For anyone who is wondering the Stanford letter says they recieved 375 applications and planned for an admit class of 15 total, although they didn't specify exactly how many they admitted. I'm not sure if everyone's fellowship is the same, but palo alto is pretty expensive so I think its safe to assume everyone get at least 25k or so.
  6. Thanks! All I really feel comfortable saying about my background is that my field is American, so if anything I'm not taking a spot from you
  7. I haven't posted in the results section yet, but I also received a call yesterday evening around 7:30 eastern time from a professor I had mentioned in my personal statement letting me know that I had been accepted to Stanford. I didn't get an email though and he said I should get one soon with more info. Good luck to everyone! I didn't get the impression that everyone was going to be called at once, so I'm sure there are still more to come
  8. I assume most of us have finished apps for polisci PhDs. I find the application status checkers really helpful, but it seems only about 1/2 of schools I have applied to have them. I'm wondering if this is the case, or if I'm just ignorant of the links to access the application status check page. This has been my experience: Has status checkers: Ohio State, UT Austin, Berkeley Does not have: Michigan, Stanford, Harvard Need to stop procrastinating and submit my application: Minnesota, MIT. Is this generally what you all have found? If I'm wrong about one of those could you post a link to the page, because not knowing if they are complete is really frustrating Thanks!
