Go for the PhD program - it's a no brainer! Inform the MA program coordinator and other people involved asap. I understand that you might feel a bit uneasy or guilty but I can't imagine that anyone would blame you for making such decision!
I have received 12 month stipend and I naturally assumed it meant working during the summer. However, my friend who also receives 12 month stipend has 3 months off. What's your experience with 12 month stipends? If you are required to work during the summer, do you get some time off? Does it make any difference if you have RA, TA, or a fellowship? Thanks!
Good luck with that! I would never accept an offer without funding. If a school can't offer me funding, I am probably not the best fit for them and they offered money to more qualified candidates.
Absolutely! I have several posters listed on my CV. The more, the merrier especially if you don't have a lot of publications or other stuff to list there. That's how I have things organized:
Publications
- Journal Papers
- Peer-reviewed Conference Papers
- Posters and Presentations
I've been accepted to my top choice school and I'm sure I want to go there. Should I accept the offer right away or wait until the visiting weekend (in three weeks)?
