  1. Finally have some updates on everything (note my updated sig. line). Got accepted to UPenn! Super happy about that! The interview session was AMAZING and 95% chance that I will go there. But, I'm still waiting on WUSTL and Princeton, though I'm likely rejected at Princeton being as their last interview weekend for molecular bio. is Feb. 27th. Still have some hope for WUSTL, with their last interview weekend being March 6th, but who knows. Either way, I wish I would just hear back. I almost just want them both to be rejections so I can submit my official matriculation form to UPenn already.
  2. Yeah, all I've done is to email the admissions staff to make sure all my materials are in, because I've had the same problem with some status pages. But I would never ask if my application has been considered yet.
  3. Agreed, this site (like College Confidential for HS students, though they have some grad stuff) is not a representative sample of your avg. college/grad school applicant. Anyways, I got a 770 Quantitative, which is above avg. for cell and molecular bio programs, but not exceptionally so. UPenn-BGS CAMB program has an avg. GRE Q of 731 for their Fall 2008 class. Most schools don't list, but I know that my 770 (88%) is really solid as well. My other scores are in my sig. line.
  4. I would never feel right reading them while my application is still being processed, or even after an interview, though I have a great relationship with my PI and she wouldn't mind at all. My two professors would, I believe, however. However, I have read at several sites (UPenn-BGS comes to mind as a definite) that once matriculated, we have access to our files even if we waived our rights - I'm assuming that's so because you are no longer an applicant but a student of a particular university. As a curious person, I actually probably would look at them then, and only not to prevent potential tension between some letter writers who didn't write something as good as you had hoped, or they suggested they would. Overall, once you're in, I see no reason why a student shouldn't be able to review their file, and I guess universities agree.
  5. Hey all, new here. Yes, I'm still waiting on a whole bunch of replies as well! I got an interview to UPenn Biomedical Graduate Studies, which is a program within their Med School, so I'm excited about that. Check out my sig. for my info.
