  1. Hey D-Lux, I was also accepted into the GPIA program at the New School with a 20% tuition scholarship. I was also accepted into NYU MS Global Affairs SCPS program, but I am waiting to hear on funding. I am not sure where I want to go just yet neither of these schools were my top choices.
  2. I am finding this forum super helpful! I just received a phone call from the New School, and I was accepted into their MA International Affairs with a 20% tuition scholarship. YAY! Now I just need to hear back from NYU on funding. NYU MS Global Affairs vs New School MA International Affairs...what to do?! I guess I'll have to visit the campuses...any ideas/suggestions?
  3. Congrats to everyone that was accepted! What concentration are you most interested in? What are your thoughts on the program? My main concern is the tuition. I have no clue how I am going to pay 16k a semester when I already owe close to 35k from undergrad. . I'll be in debt for the rest of my life! I mean how much are you willing to pay to have NYU on your resume? lol
  4. I received an acceptance email this weekend. Yay! Now, I'm just super concerned about tuition. It is about 16k per semester! Luckily, I live at home in NYC. I'll probably commute. Apparently, we should hear about funding at the end of this month, at least that is what their Financial Aid Office told me. Right now, I think it is up the air. Anyone is planning on attending NYU MS Global Affairs Fall 2011?
  5. Hi! I am graduating this May, and I've decided to take a year off to gain some work experience. The Graduate Institute really caught my attention especially by the bi-lingual environment. Is anyone aware of how Americans are admitted into their International Affairs Masters, if they even have a set number. How is funding for international students? How competitive is admission into the program? I would like to work with international organizations, so I thought Geneva would be a great place to apply. Any suggestions on making my application more competitive? Thanks!
  6. I was unaware of that. I have yet to hear back from the schools I applied to. Depending on how that turns out, I was thinking about taking a year off to gain more experience. Guess I'll have to wait and see.
  7. I did receive that email from the Pickering program. A lot of it has to do with the federal budget. After all, it was only extended for three weeks. I just received an email from Patricia about the problem.
  8. Really? wow. I was a finalist myself, and I interviewed on Tuesday. What day did you interview? I was wondering why I never received a call or email. geez. Well, I wish you the best. Did you apply for the Pickering as well?
  9. Congrats on becoming a finalist! Have you been selected as a fellow?
