It goes without saying that my budget is going to be tight when I start school in the fall. I have a very small monthly stipend and need to make every cent count...so will the check (is it even a check?) I receive be the full monthly amount? Will it have federal and state taxes taken out? Excuse my ignorance!

So, I got a rejection in letter format from Chicago MA CMES. And just now I got an email from the department to "confirm" my offer of admission. Really, Chicago? Really? DON'T TOY WITH ME!

got an email today saying i did not receive a FLAS at harvard... from what you all say, this has no bearing on whether or not i've been admitted, right?

not sure if anyone applied to wustl, but i just received by mail the acceptance to the jewish, islamic and near eastern studies ma program. with 75% tuition remission, fingers crossed for more!

Being close to campus is great, but remember: Chapel Hill has awesome public transportation. Nothing like the big cities, but the busses go everywhere and they are freeeee!!

Still haven't heard anything from the department proper--just the one letter from the graduate school. Has anyone received a letter from the dept? $?

Finished my app mid-December and received an acceptance letter from the graduate school 2/5. Says I should expect to hear from the department soon. (Hopefully about money?!)
