  1. Hmm, didn't get that on my app status yet. Wonder if the response time is varying a lot by subfield? I applied for ISEP.

My bad. It was not on the application status. It was a response to my email to Taryn Faulkner. I applied for ISEP as well. Do you mind sharing your stats?

  2. It is March 8 already and I have not heard from UMD PhD Public Policy program as yet. Are there people on this forum who have been accepted/rejected/waitlisted or even interviewed? I contacted Taryn Faulkner couple of times but each time I get a response saying 'we have not reached any conclusion yet.' Is everyone else getting similar response? According to the last year posts, it looks like many people got their decisions around 4th March. Anyone?

  3. Hi all,

I just saw this blog entry at SIPA's Admission blog and felt like sharing. Although the blog entry talks specifically about SIPA's way of handling applications and reaching on decisions, but I guess other schools must be reaching their decisions in a similar fashion as well.

Some of you may be familiar with the process, but for all others, here it is:

Good luck to all still waiting.

  4. I didn't apply to Duke, but I emailed UMD to find out what is going on. I have been told that the adcom started reviewing applications only couple of weeks ago, and have not reached any decision regarding shortlisting of candidates. Here is the verbatim:

"The finalists will be notified for an interview-type process a bit later in the Spring. The incoming class will be very small, as you are aware of. But the committee just began reviewing applications a couple of weeks ago, so we have not selected finalists yet."

Wait is really painful, but what else can we do except waiting, right?

    Hang in there.
