When did you both hear? they said letters were sent out a while ago---i am in France so... not sure if it got lost.

thank you for your feedback... i am torn as iam an international student and i feel as if its a good way into american schools. i also only have 3 years of undergrad. it all comes down to how much money they can give me....

has anyone heard of someone being not admitted to SMFA MFA program but then suggested for the Post-bac?

i think everyone has it. its not unique to you because if you haven't logged in yet than it isn't for you.

@luckyfriend---congrats! what a great situation to be in. I would tell the other schools you are waiting hear back from about your dilemma--telling them you need to make a decision about a school but, you want to hear back from their school before. share with them what was offered and tell them you were wondering if its possible to have a response beforehand---unofficial or official.....

hi all, what are your thoughts on when you apply for MFA program (for me it was painting) and i was recommended to apply for the post-bac instead? they claim that only a "few" of the MFA applicants were encouraged to do so. Should I believe them or do they just tell everyone who applies to do that? also, any knowledge of funding opps for post-bac. This one is at SAIC. Anyone know anything about the post-bac at SAIC? I assume its intensive and you share space with grad students. all input welcome!

Hi All! Congrats to having heard! I was wondering if any of you are international applicants? I am and I heard rumors that SAIC and SMFA just accepts international applicants without an in person interview. FYI--i applied painting. hey all, i am an international student with a diverse educational background (western europe and africa). any input on how american painting schools see international students? for those in the MFA painting programs are there are lot of international students? And if so do you know anything about funding opportunities for them? also, what do you think is the most important in one's application file? I assume portfolio is the first criteria but afterwards? SOP or grades? thanks
