I see. I was always curious to know if financial aid packages are offered upfront. I know what you mean about getting rejections. Any response is good at this point, with all of the waiting and considering that's taking over our lives at this point... Sheesh! I only applied to two other schools: University of Washington and SAIC. UW will probably take longer to respond, since their deadline was almost a month later than SAIC's. I've been browsing the threads looking for indication of when I should expect to hear from SAIC and couldn't find anything. Has anyone heard from them or know when they typically respond? Anyone else apply to their Visual Communication Design (Studio Art) MFA program? Anyway, @hullo congrats again on your acceptance to Tyler! Although I don't personally know you, I'm very happy for you!

That's wonderful. Tyler is a great school! I'm tired of the waiting game! It must be nice to know that you at least have that as an option before you hear back from the other schools. Did Tyler offer you a financial aid package or does that come later on?

They offered Skype interviews and/or in-person interviews on 2/18, 2/25, and 3/4.

I just got an interview with MICA for the Graphic Design MFA program. It seems most of you all are non-Graphic Design folks, but hopefully it's some indication on when you'll be hearing from them!

I too received the MICA e-mail. I applied to the Graphic Design MFA program. Ahhhh! Finally some relatively concrete indication on when we should expect to hear something!

Do you remember which MFA program your friend attended? I'm applying to the Visual Communications Design Department and I've heard many good things about its faculty. I'd be interested to hear more about your friend's experience, although it sounds very unfortunate. Yikes, thanks for the reply!
