  1. If School A is a part of the graduate consortium, then even though you accepted prior to the April 15th deadline, my understanding is that it is not legally binding. If I were you, I would withdraw your acceptance and go with School C. Good luck!
  2. One of the schools I have been admitted to is offering a paid-in-full "revisit" weekend, in which they will pay to fly me back to the school in late March. This is in addition to the official interview weekend, which I have already attended. Having a couple other admits already, I am 99% sure I will not be attending this program. Even if I decided to attend the school, I have all the information I need to make my decision so I do not want to miss more work going on a second visit. My question is this: should I decline the offer of admission outright from this school, since I am pretty sure I will not be attending the program? Or should I just decline the offer to re-visit the school, and then decline the offer of admission at a later date? Thanks in advance!!
  3. At one of my interviews, an interviewee went out with some friends he knew in the area. Let's just say that the applicant missed the next two days of the interview and was actually taken to a hospital to make sure it wasn't anything more serious. He missed one informal day (touring the city with the graduate students) and one formal interview day with faculty. I don't think his chances are very good, but that may just be me.
  4. Great name. ...And what is good, and what is not good, need we anyone to tell us these things? My favorite quote.
