  1. I have heard different answers to this question. I'm in a fully funded program--my tuition is remitted and I receive a stipend in exchange for service, usually teaching--to the department. My accountant said in an email that I couldn't, but he didn't really ask any questions or try to ascertain why I thought I might be able to, so I think he doesn't really understand how the program is set up. He made a comment that "lots of people go to school and are able to claim their tuition in other ways, so the rule is fair." Of course, I'm not really paying tuition, so this is a bit different. I know I have read other offhand comments here on GradCafe about people being able to claim their grad school moves on their taxes. How can I put this to my accountant in a way that at least encourages him to investigate the matter thoroughly? Thanks for any advice!
  2. It looks like there's been some movement on the waitlist. Does anyone happen to know what field that movement's in?
  3. Was just wondering how the weekend went. I'm a medievalist, waitlisted at Notre Dame, with an offer from another program. I'm trying to decide how long to wait on ND before just accepting the other offer.
  4. On the 25th, someone said "in the next two weeks," so probably soon? Plus, there's an entry on the results board that says that someone called and the secretary said they weren't on the list that "they had just drawn up" or something like that, so it seems like it's in the works.
  5. Weren't they supposed to finalize the rejects and wait lists at the end of last week? I know it's a bit pointless, but I really want that final confirmation that I can rule them out...
  6. I'm a B, and there has been no change to my status. I really want a screen cap or something of what that ApplyYourself page will look like when my decision is finally available.
